Mendoza's 2nd NASCAR test is coming up in March 3rd, 2007

Jorge Mendoza is looking forward for his second NASCAR test in North Carolina at the Rock Speedway on March 3rd, 2007!

Jorge Mendoza a NHRA/IHRA -professional racer who has begun a new era in his racing career by testing both a NASCAR Busch and Nextel Cup stock car in the cool December breeze at Atlanta Motor Speedway . Mendoza, one of the most versatil hispanic driver with a diverse racing background in and on various vehicles, drove 50 laps in three different sessions with Randy Baker's Racing Team on the 1.5-mile paved oval track.

Race instructor Randy Baker, Buddy Baker youngest brother from Speedtech Racing, provided this feedback: "Jorge fulfilled our expectations, followed our instructions, was very smooth, took the right lines, and his speed was faster every lap. He was very comfortable in the car and he provided good feedback to our crew chief. He was able to look at his instruments while driving when the rest of the test drivers were not able to. Jorge needs a full racing season to get his best."

Mendoza returned to South Texas pleased with his test session and progress. His last competition was at San Antonio Raceway in March 2005 when he qualified in an eight-second dragster in an IHRA national event and tested a 2, 000 hp Alcohol Dragster in April of 2005. On his return to Texas, the 6-ft.2, 190-lb. racer said, "Thanks to God and to my supporters who have made this test possible."

First Nascar test for a NHRA pro stock bike racer

Mendoza is excited for his first ever Nascar test this upcoming December 17th at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Mendoza has showed all his life that he is capable of driving all sorts of motor vehicles. Mendoza is looking for a new adventure and he thanks Speedtech Racing for this opportunity. Mendoza has not driven a stock/Nascar-type car in his life. Last time Mendoza was on an oval track was in Las Vegas testing a Champ Car previous to the first Champ Car race in Mexico. Mendoza enjoys door to door racing. Mendoza showed some talent when he qualified his MX-6 sedan in 10th position in his first time in the car at the San Antonio Grand Prix in 1990.
