– 18th) USED BY 3 TIME NHRA WORLD CHAMPION JOHN
MYERS. Jorge did proof potential! He ran with no prior
seat time on the bike before and 20 lbs above minimun
weight since bike was built for a lighter driver . This
was the 5th run on a pro stock bike. Jorge
showed potential! |

Jorge, gets his own pro stock motor with 305 hp and gets
a longer chassi: PRO MOD. Made a debut on his bike on
october of 2002 in Mexico, City, breaking his own personal
record. It was his only race of the year! |

In November broke his engine and he could not continue
race at the finale in Monterrey, Mexico. |

Due ot his height and weight, he decided not to pursue
his drag racing career in NHRA PRO STOCK BIKE, Jorge
was the tallest driver! |

Jorge is invited to test a CHAMP CAR at LAS VEGAS INTL
SPEEDWAY! Jorge, just had surgery but he could not refuse
such an offer. |

decided to focus on his perfomance bussines and due to
his father health, Mendoza, moved to Mexico City for 6
months, where he decided to take time off from racing. |

In
december, Jorge made only one exhibition run at the Mexico,
City race track for a local drag race event. This was
the only time Jorge was on his bike in 2001! |

Mendoza, opened a office in Mcallen, Texas and he continue
with his time off from racing. |

Jorge, started palying golf in the RVG area in order to
keep his competition mind in shape. |

In
december Jorge gets a Rotax Max Kart and begin his training

obtained the first IHRA ( INTERNATIONAL DRAG RACING license
) in Bradenton, Fla in March, when he drove for the first
time a V8 /800 hp powered dragster! It was a confidence
boost for him! |

DRAG RACING NATIONALS IN SAN ANTONIO TEXAS ON APRIL 1!
JORGE, ran a V8 dragster and he only made 3 passes before
his race day. He broke out but he felt comfortable with
the car. Jorge is ready for more challenges! He accomplished
this within a 3 week notice!
step 1: was getting a licence, step 2: finding a car to
race and step 3: finding sponsors, all within 3 weeks
period! |
